“لَطالَما عُدَّتِ الزِّراعَةُ مادَّةً مُهِمًّةً في مَجالِ التَّرْبِيَةِ والتَّعْليم، ولَها فَوائَدُ عِدَّةٌ، نَذْكُرُ مِنْها:

ـ الزِّراعَةُ تُساعِدُ الطِّفْلَ عَلى الاكْتِشافِ ومُشاهَدَةِ نُمُوِّ البُذورِ والنَّباتاتِ وتَفاعُلِها مَعَ الطَّبيعَة.

ـ الزِّراعَةُ مَصْدَرٌ لِمَعْرِفَةِ أهَمِّيَّةِ الفُصولِ وتَأثيرِها في النَّباتات.

ـ الزِّراَعَةُ تُنَمّي روح المَسْؤولِيَّةِ والصَّبْرِ والاهْتِمامِ بِالغَيْر.

مِنْ هُنا جاءَتْ فِكْرَةُ قِصَّةِ «حَديقَتي»، كَقِصَّةٍ هادِفَةٍ لِتَشْجيعِ الطِّفْلِ عَلى الاهْتِمامِ بِالزِّراعَةِ كَوَسيلَةٍ مِنَ التَّسْلِيَةِ المُفيدَة
